There is a newspaper clipping of him.A couple of years ago he walked into the Motel and was adopted. It turned out that he was really good at soccer. He is kind of famous around here and guests even send him X'mas cards

This friendly Border Collie is a mascot of the Motel

The room here was not fantsastic. At A$110, we think it was more worthwhile to stay in Pemberton

It was 6pm when we arrived in Manjimup. Most of the shops here were already closed. Manjimup is definitely a bigger town than Pemberton with a population of about 5000

We headed to King Trout Restaurant which also farms Trout and Marron. We paid A$75 for this platter which includes a couple of grilled Marron, a grilled Trout and a smoked Trout. We loved the grilled Trout and Marron

local plant life

We wasted two hours of travel

View of the sand dunes from the lake.We had to give up heading to the dunes as our vehicle could not handle the muddy road

We read about the dunes nearby but could only travel about 40km per hour as it was a dirt road

Cheeky fellow

The local birds came to join us hoping to get fed

We lunched on local cheese, crackers and orange juice

View from the top of Gloucester Tree

View from the middle of our climb

It is a 61 metre climb to the top

We decided to climb the Glocester tree

He will sit behind the tractor while his owner cleared the tree branches

We returned to Pemberton to find out more about the places of interests from the information office. This friendly dog came to check us out
