To the Land of smiles

We were off to Bangkok to stock up on doggy shoes. We took the early flight on Sunday so that we could head to Chatuchak market straight after we arrived
It has been a month since the disastrous crack down on the Red Shirts in downtown Bangkok. The airport was devoid of tourists and we cleared customs in less than 5 minutes
We got a good deal at the Lebua Hotel. It has a great view of the Chao Phraya river. It was only ten minutes to the Saphan Thaksin train station

View of Chatuchak from the train
Chatuchak was also not as crowded as our last rip here two years ago

We bought a cute bath robe for the dogs from this boutique
The boutique owner's Shit Tzu is really obedient
We headed back to our hotel for lunch. It was thefirst time we were stsaying in the Silom area and we were quite happy with this area. There were lots of stalls selling local food
For 30 Bhat we had a great meal at this Noodle place

The night view from our room on the 56 floor
We had dinner at the Breeze Restaurant in the hotel
