Bohol

Jo could tag along for a day trip to the neighbouring island of Bohol

It was almost lunch time when we arrived. Our guide whisked us straight to the jetty on Loboc river for our lunch cruise
Philipino food was served on board

The cruise business here is doing booming business
Fire wood is used by locals to cook here. It only cost 5 pesos to buy wood while a cannister of gas cost 700 Pesos

Next strop was a Butterfly park
There are about 1200 of these hills in Bohol. In the dry season the grass will turn brown and resemble Chocolate kisses. The locals cqall them Chocolate Hills

The Church of Immaculate Conception is an example of Spanish style churches in the Philippines. It is constructed of blocks of coral
The Spanish builders realised that they needed to add buttress walls to the Churches they build due to the frequent earhtquales in the Philippines

Can you see a face on the buttress wall?
It was 6 pm when we finally boarded the fery to Cebu
We were hungry when we reached Cebu. Our driver recomended a Chinese restaurant that served live seafood called Lai Chinese Restaurant
Live Mantis Shrimp cooked in Garlic
The roasted pigeon was not that good.We realise that it is better to stick to live seafood when dining in a Chinese restaurant in Cebu
