To Phuket town

We started the morning by attending the sales talk conducted by the Marriott Vacation Club. You need to fork out US$70000 for a 30 year membership. After telling them we were not interested we headed to Anantara Resort to use our free vouchers for lunch
We loaded up on seafood.I had the seafood bucket above while Jo opted for Tiger Prawns and Pomelo salad
We rented a car and headed towards Phuket town in the rain. It was reported on TV that the freak rain was a La Nina phenomenon. Tourists in Koh Samui were stranded by floods
Clock tower in Phuket town
We shared a bowl of prawn noodles
There a a couple of heritage buildings here that remind us of the shophouses in Chinatown and Little India back in Singapore.
It was starting to rain heavily again and we decided to head back for dinner at Anantara to use up our vouchers. We passed by the Heroine's monument that was dedicated to two ladies who fought off a Burmese invasion

It had gotten dark and we got lost.It was 8pm when we reached the restaurant
We loaded up on more seafood
